Who we are

My Soccer Coach (“we”, “us”, the “Platform”) is a private soccer coaching marketplace based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

What the Platform does

My Soccer Coach is a marketplace that connects players and their families with independent private soccer coaches. We help you find a coach, book a session, and pay securely. We do not employ coaches and we do not provide coaching ourselves — coaches are independent contractors responsible for their own services, conduct, and taxes. The coaching relationship is between you and the coach.

Accounts & eligibility

You’re responsible for the accuracy of your account and keeping it secure. Our age policy:

• Children under 13 do not create accounts — a parent or guardian books on their behalf.
• Players aged 13–18 sign up with a parent or guardian’s email on file.
• Adults (19+) may book for themselves.

Bookings & payments

You pay the full session price when you book. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t store your full card details. Your payment is held until the session takes place, at which point the coach is paid their share (we retain a platform fee). Cancellations and refunds are governed by the coach’s cancellation policy — see our Cancellation & refund policy.

Coach verification

Every coach completes a background check before they can be booked, and we review their profile before it goes live. This is an important safeguard, but it is not a guarantee — you are responsible for your own judgment and safety, and we encourage sessions in public spaces with a parent present for younger players. Your responsibilities

• Use the Platform lawfully and treat coaches and other users respectfully.
• Provide accurate information when booking, including who the session is for.
• Arrange and attend sessions in good faith, and communicate cancellations promptly.
• Only leave reviews based on real, completed sessions.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is”. We don’t guarantee any particular coaching outcome, and we’re not responsible for the acts or omissions of coaches or users, who are independent of us. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount of the booking giving rise to the claim.

Changes & governing law

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the updated Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
