Who we are

My Soccer Coach is a private soccer coaching marketplace based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We handle personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA). This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email, and role (parent, player, or coach).
• Children’s information — for parents, the first name and date of birth of the children you add, so coaches know who a session is for.
• Coach information — profile details, and a background-check document (stored privately, viewable only by our admins for verification).
• Booking information — sessions, locations, notes, and reviews.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Basic usage data — needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

We use your information to operate the Platform — to power search and bookings, process payments, verify coaches, keep players safe, send you service emails (confirmations, reminders, receipts), and respond to your requests.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the Platform, under their own privacy commitments:

• Stripe — payments and payouts.
• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• Resend — sending emails.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, general location, device type) that help us improve the Platform. Google sets cookies for this; you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out or by blocking cookies in your browser.

A coach you book sees the information needed to deliver the session (for example, the player’s first name and age, and your booking notes).

Children’s information

Information about children is provided by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their child’s account activity. We collect the minimum needed for a coach to run an appropriate session, and we don’t use children’s information for marketing.

Security & retention

We use reputable providers and access controls to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting obligations. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email us and we’ll help — note that some records (such as completed transactions) may be retained where required by law.
