Youth coaching

Kids' soccer training on the North Shore

From first touches at U6 to competitive prep at U16 — coaching that meets your child exactly where they are.

Great youth coaching looks different at every age. For the littlest players it's fun-first ball mastery and confidence; for U9–U12 it's technique and small-sided decision making; for teens it's position-specific detail, physical development, and the mental side of competitive play. Coaches on My Soccer Coach list the age groups they actually coach, so you can find someone who's great with your kid's stage — not just soccer in general.

Safety is the foundation: every coach is background-checked before they can appear in search, sessions run at public parks and fields, and we encourage parents to stay for younger players. Reviews from verified bookings are shown on every profile.

Common questions

What age can my child start?
Coaches on the platform work with players from around age 5 (U6). At that age sessions are short, playful, and focused on loving the ball — not drills for their own sake.
Are coaches safe to train my child?
Every coach completes a background check before going live — no exceptions. Sessions are in public spaces and parents are always welcome to stay and watch.
My child plays rec soccer — is private coaching overkill?
Not at all. A session every week or two builds the touches and confidence that one team practice can't, and kids who feel skilled have more fun on Saturday.
